Charmian has been a certified massage therapist for 20 years. She uses Hot stone Massage to soften the muscles with the heat and weight of the stones, she then uses deep tissue massage to clear and release blocked energy in the muscles. Doula
Charmian is a member of Doulas of North America and is available to assist parents to be at the birth of their child. She uses hypnosis and massage to help the mother to move through the experience of labor with ease and grace .She has experience of both hospital and home births.
As one client said" Charmian was a wonderful doula. She maintained a calm presence which was not overbearing and which allowed me and my husband to have the birth we wanted .She helped me to breathe through each contraction and was a wonderful calm ,supportive presence."

Hypnobabies
Charmian Redwood is a certified Hypnobabies Instructor who teaches a complete pre- natal education program which uses hypnosis to help the Hypnomom to stay deeply relaxed and anesthetized throughout the birthing time . The hypnobabies uses scripts on CD's and in class to teach the mother how to enter a state of hypnotic anesthesia and to direct that energy wherever it is needed in the body. We begin to practice the techniques at least six weeks before the birth so that by the time the birth comes the Mom is able to enter hypnosis easily and her partner is taught many ways to help her enter and maintain a deeply relaxed state.
