of community members celebrated Sheila's birthday |

| Memorial Service for
Justen Several Madrid and
Cerrillos folks plus a representative from the family met at the S curve
on 14 and then walked down to the maze at the Patterson's home. Remembrances
were shared and then we walked the maze to think. The last image
showed that joy can co-exist with sadness. Thank you Jenny. |

| Fire Department Open
House April 1 was the day
this year that the fire department shows off the equipment and services
that they provide our community. Hot dogs, popcorn sodas and
potato salad were served. Of course the kids had the best time
climbing in and around the equipment. |

| Annual Easter Egg Hunt
4/16. Rainia organized
the Easter egg hunt again this year. The searchers were broken
into three groups by age with the eggs hidden with more or less
difficulty. The kids and adults both seemed to have a great time. |

| Dragonfly Sanctuary
Opening 4/23 The
Dragonfly Sanctuary on Grateful Way off Mailbox is a beautiful place for
meditation, celebration and communication. It is open from spring
to late fall. This year we had thoughts on spring, entrainment by
Riana and Eliane belly dancers and a marimba band.
This was followed by a fantastic pot luck lunch. |
